Each HD series actuator is equipped with end of limit switches. These switches automatically shut off the unit if it reaches its maximum extension or retraction. Operating these actuators is straightforward: simply reverse the polarity on the actuator's two leads. They are compatible with various control methods, including a DPDT switch, relay or brushed DC motor controller.
How Long Will a Linear Actuator Last ?
This is an impossible question to answer as there are dozens of factors that affect actuator lifespan including load, side load, duty cycle, input voltage and environmental conditions just to name a few. We encourage our customers to do their own testing to evaluate the lifespan of their particular application.
